Daniel Kaczor defended his doctoral dissertation in 2025 entitled: “Technology for the Production of Biodegradable Polymer Composites Containing Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene with Enhanced Mechanical Properties” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU), where in 2007 he defended his master’s thesis entitled “Synthesis and Optoelectrical Properties of Acetylenosilane Homopolymers with Alkyl and Aromatic Substituents”. He subsequently took up a position as a technologist in the granules division at Grupa Ergis Sp. z o.o. at the Wąbrzeźno plant. In the years 2010–2018, he was employed at the Instrumental Analysis Laboratory of Nicolaus Copernicus University. Since 2018, he has been a research employee at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes in Toruń, currently holding the position of Chief Specialist.
He has experience in microscopic analysis (SEM, TEM), thermal analysis, and the investigation of the mechanical properties of polymer materials. He also deals with issues related to polymer processing. He is a co-author of 18 publications, 4 book chapters, and 5 patents. In the years 2018–2026, he served as a researcher in projects with a total value exceeding PLN 5 million.
Co-author of 17 scientific articles (6 as first author), 4 book chapters, and 5 patents (h-index: 9). In the years 2024–2025, he completed two two-month scientific internships in Slovakia under the PROMATAI project (funded within the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme).
His scientific interests focus on the processing and recycling of plastics, carbon nanomaterials, polymer composites, the investigation of the physicochemical and mechanical properties of materials, polymer identification, and electron microscopy.
