Łukasiewicz IMPIB is a Polish research institute that is part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network - the third largest research network in Europe.
Łukasiewicz IMPIB conducts research and development activities of an applied nature in the area of material engineering of polymer materials, paints, coatings, elastomers and composites. The work carried out in the centers in Toruń, Gliwice and Piastów includes research on technologies for the production of polymer materials, formulation and testing of paints, and the development of specialized coatings with properties including: anti-corrosion, anti-bacterial, self-cleaning, flame retardant and EMI shielding. The Institute also develops ecological technologies with reduced VOC emissions, solutions using renewable and waste raw materials and innovative additives, including nanomaterials.
The Institute actively cooperates with enterprises in the implementation of research work, development and implementation of innovative technological solutions and transfer of scientific research results to the economy. Thanks to his experience in laboratory, semi-technical and implementation work, he supports the process of scaling technologies and their practical application in various industry sectors. The Institute also participates in the implementation of national and international R&D projects conducted in cooperation with scientific and industrial partners (including FENG (NCBR, PARP), CORNET Initiative, bilateral and multilateral programs, Horizon Europe)
In the RASCOS project, Łukasiewicz IMPIB serves as the Leader - coordinating activities. He will be responsible for coordinating all technical and non-technical activities of the project, as well as ensuring the correct implementation of tasks and achieving the assumed project goals. As part of the research work, IMPIB manages WP-1 and WP2 tasks regarding the development of paints with a high share of biorenewable raw materials. As part of the RASCOS project, mentoring for young scientists will be carried out at IMPIB.
SPE Labs is a Polish technology company from the SME sector, specializing in the implementation of robotics in traditional industrial and craft processes. The company provides robotic stations and components for automating grinding, polishing, deburring and painting processes.
SPE Labs also carries out research and development projects in the field of robotics, mechatronics and software, combining scientific competences with practical industry needs. Thanks to experience in designing, prototyping and implementing innovative solutions, he supports enterprises in the process of automation and development of modern technologies.
W ramach projektu SPE Labs nadzoruje prace badawcze w WP3 oraz WP5 opracowuje automatyczny Zautomatyzowany, modułowy i wielozadaniowy pojazd konserwacyjny (AMMMV), łączący inspekcję powierzchni oraz naprawę w ramach jednej, zoptymalizowanej energetycznie misji. Robot będzie autonomicznie wykrywać uszkodzenia powierzchni betonowych i metalowych, oznaczać je oraz nakładać powłokę naprawczą, ograniczając narażenie ludzi na zagrożenia i toksyczne rozpuszczalniki (SDG 3, 8). Taka zintegrowana funkcjonalność stanowi innowację w porównaniu z obecnie dostępnymi rozwiązaniami rynkowymi.
EuroTube Foundation is a Swiss research and development foundation specializing in sustainable infrastructure technologies, modern transport systems and solutions for the construction and mobility of the future. The organization conducts application research and develops innovative technologies in areas such as hyperloop, vacuum infrastructure, digital construction technologies, intelligent energy systems and advanced construction materials. EuroTube actively cooperates with industry, universities and research institutions in the implementation of international R&D projects, supporting technology transfer and implementing innovative solutions in industrial practice. The Foundation is also developing its own research infrastructure, including the DemoTube demonstrator and laboratories and test stands enabling technology validation in real conditions.
As part of the RASCOS project, EuroTube is overseeing work packages WP4 and WP6, which include environmental tests and comprehensive experimental campaigns to validate the durability, performance and defect susceptibility of bio-based coating systems under representative and extreme conditions, followed by a full-scale demonstration of the integrated system in a test tunnel, strengthening the credibility of the assessment of its operational and commercial readiness.
