Daniel Elmeua Lehmann is a mechanical engineer and graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the Technische Universität Darmstadt and EPFL. He has been professionally affiliated with EuroTube since 2021, where he currently serves as DemoTube Project Director, leading the development and delivery of Switzerland’s first Hyperloop test infrastructure.
His work combines deep technical expertise with project management and leadership experience. He specialises in vacuum systems engineering, Hyperloop infrastructure development, and the management of R&D projects in the field of sustainable mobility and next-generation transport technologies. Over more than five years at EuroTube, he has progressed from R&D Vacuum Mechanical Engineer to Project Manager and ultimately to his current directorial role.
Prior to joining EuroTube, Daniel gained industry experience through a product strategy internship at SEAT S.A. in Barcelona, where he supported the definition and evaluation of global engine strategies within the Volkswagen Group, as well as a research assistantship at TU Darmstadt and a mechanical engineering internship at Bosch Rexroth.
Raised bilingually and fluent in four languages — German, Spanish, English and French — he brings a strong international perspective to his work. He is actively engaged in advancing innovative and sustainable transport solutions and in driving the transition from research to real-world implementation within the Hyperloop ecosystem.
