Bartosz Kopyciński – an R&D specialist professionally affiliated with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes (Łukasiewicz – IMPIB). He graduated in Materials Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology and is currently a PhD candidate in the same discipline. For over five years, he has been working at the interface of science and industry, focusing on the formulation and testing of advanced coating systems and high‑performance polymer composites, particularly those aligned with the principles of sustainable development.
He is the author and co-author of several dozen scientific and technical publications, as well as multiple patents and patent applications. He is recognized for his innovative technical solutions. He is actively involved in the implementation of research projects, both at the national level and within international consortia.
Outside of work, he can most often be found on mountain trails, cycling long distances on a gravel bike, or in his workshop restoring old furniture—always with an analog camera in hand.
Within the RASCOS project, he is responsible for testing the developed coating systems. As part of a mentoring programme, he is also further developing his research competencies and skills in scientific communication.
